Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 specs
The Snapdragon 835 processor launched in early 2017 as a successor to the Snapdragon 821. The octa-core processor has 4-cores working at 2.4GHz aimed for maximum performance in need while the other four work at 1.9GHz for efficiency and stability. Qualcomm integrated the Adreno 540 GPU on the Snapdragon 835 SoC for 710MHz of graphical power. Depending on how much you want to pay, you can get the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 with 6GB or 8GB RAM which makes multitasking a breeze when coupled with the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. LG’s phablet, the LG V30 also happens to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 83 SoC putting it among the top phablets in the market right now. While pre-orders for the Snapdragon 835 LG device are open right now, it is expected to launch some time in October. The LG V30 packs a 6-inch 2880×1440 display and has 4GB of RAM to go with the octa-core Snapdragon 835. Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact
Although its counterpart, the XZ1 is already available, the Xperia XZ1 Compact still hasn’t launched but will hopefully be available in October in the next few days. Asus ZenFone 4 Pro
Expected to launch in November, the Asus ZenFone 4 Pro is another mention on our list of upcoming Snapdragon 835 smartphones. The ZeonFone 4 Pro has a dual-lens rear camera with one sensor operating at 12MP while the other is at 16MP. The Snapdragon 835 SoC onboard is complemented by 6GB of RAM and thanks to Snapdragon 835’s battery efficiency, the 3,600mAh battery of Asus ZenFone 4 Pro should last almost an entire day making it a great purchase for the price.
Google Pixel 2 / Pixel 2 XL
Google’s next flagship lineup and successor to their Pixel series, the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are also pretty much confirmed to be Snapdragon 835 smartphones. While earlier reports suggested that they will be powered by Snapdragon 836, those rumors were later debunked and it seems like Google is sticking with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 for this year’s devices. Not a lot about their specifications are known as of yet but Google has their Pixel 2 Event planned for 4th October which is when detailed specifications for these two smartphones will be confirmed. However, it is rumored that the Pixel 2 will launch in a few weeks while the bigger and better Pixel 2 XL might actually launch next month.
