After the unveiling of Microsoft’s Project Scorpio at E3, we have been starving for some new juicy details related to it. The only latest that has come out is that there will be VR exclusives to it and there is very logical reason behind it as of why, Microsoft made it clear at E3 that they were breaking the console and PC boundary as they believe it to be in one ecosystem so that every first-party game they develop, it releases both for the PC and their console.
Project Scorpio Having VR Exclusives Was Inevitable
Phil Spencer shared a few words about this. Like I said its pretty logical why this occurred and thats what Phil clarified on. One of Project Scopio’s aim was to provide VR and since the Xbox one doesn’t carry the same power that Project Scorpio does, VR games wont carry on to the Xbox one but everything else that works on the Xbox one will be able to run on the Scorpio.
This in turn doesn’t hold back the quality of the VR games since Project Scorpio can hold its own great against the tough requirements of VR games
Now, with the power and capabilities we have, we’ll be able to do high-fidelity VR. Now, that space, we don’t think of that as console gaming, we think of that as high-fidelity VR, and so with the VR experiences those will be new things that you will get on Project Scorpio.
So the exclusivity doesn’t really have any motive behind it, just that it goes to how show far Project Scorpio is of an upgrade and how it achieves the dream of Console virtual reality gaming.
