October 2017 Xbox Games with Gold

For $10 a month or $60 for a year, Microsoft offers Xbox owners the Xbox Gold membership which not only allows them to access online features of the platform such as multiplayer gaming but also provides subscribers with free games every month. With October having now started, Microsoft has revealed the October 2017 Xbox Games with Gold offerings, which includes two free games each for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

The October 2017 Games with Gold offerings for Xbox One include Gone Home, a $20 puzzle exploration game that received great reviews when it was released in 2013. Xbox One owners can add Gone Home to their game library anytime between 1st and 31st October and the game will stay in their collection even after October has ended. The 2nd free Xbox One game for October 2017 is The Turing Test, a first-person puzzle solving game like the Portal series. Xbox Gold subscribers can get The Turing Test for free between 16th October and 15th November.

For those who still haven’t redeemed their free copy of Oxenfree, the game is still available for Games with Gold subscribers until 15th October so you still have a chance to claim your free copy of the game.

The two free October 2017 Games with Gold titles available on Xbox 360 are Rayman 3 HD and Medal of Honor Airborne. Rayman 3 HD can be redeemed from your Xbox 360 console or the Xbox website anytime between 1st and 15th October while Medal of Honor Airborne can be added to the game library between 16th and 31st October.

Just like every prior month, once an Xbox Gold subscriber adds these games to their library, they can access and play these games whenever they want, even after a few years. However, to play these games, an active Gold subscription is required but considering the value the subscription provides in just $60, it is well worth it.
